Get rid of those stupid modal popups that force you to login/register
Whenever I visit a site and it shows a modal popup that forces logins, I look at the DOM and modify the offending elements. If it’s a site that I visit somewhat often, I check to see if someone wrote a Greasemonkey script to handle this. If I don’t find one, then I write my own.
One of these sites that I visit every now and then is Quora. If you want to remove that dumb modal that forces you to login, install Greasemonkey (or Tampermonkey for Chrome) and install this script. The script removes the modal and the greyed-out background, then re-enables scrolling so you can browse the whole page.
Unfortunately, some sites actually withhold the site content until you login, so simply modifying the DOM won’t give you all the site content. Some people just hate freedom.
